PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT
Diane Cano graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2011 from Norwalk Community College earning an Associate in Science in their Physical Therapy Assistant program. She has continued her education since graduating with seminars on therapeutic exercise and myofascial release (soft tissue mobilization). Diane is working under the supervision of our Director of Physical Therapy, Melissa Goldring. Diane provides manual therapy, designs and supervises therapeutic exercise programs, and educates patients on their condition and treatments to create the optimum environment for patients to rehabilitate and improve their overall health and well-being.
Diane comes to AHP with a diverse background from her previous careers including actuarial science, computer programming and installation, applications training and technical and database support. After several years as a stay-at-home-mom, Diane took a new direction with her life and studied to become a physical therapist assistant. Diane brings fresh energy and passion to her work and is excited about helping people return to their daily lives after injuries or surgery. She enjoys teaching patients about their pain or injury and helping them fine tune their exercise routines for the best results. She also works in tandem with our chiropractic physicians to ensure our patients have the very best care.
She enjoys working in the boutique environment at AHP “where we really get to know our patients one-on-one”. Diane is also proficient in Spanish and many patients appreciate that she is able to discuss their injury and plan of care with them in their native language.
